Why serve?
Put simply: We serve because He served.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus gives us the perfect example of serving others. As Mark 10:45 explains, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Jesus did not come seeking to be served, but instead, demonstrated humbling oneself and loving others. The ultimate example being when He died for our sins. It is because of our belief in His love and His great salvation that we love others. John 13:35 tells Jesus’ followers, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” At Valley Life Church, we strive to equip the members of the church for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16). Each serving team serves a bigger purpose of furthering the mission to make disciples and plant churches.
